The original system suffered from severe processing delays whenever thousands of customers placed orders simultaneously during evening rush hours, causing checkout loops. Furthermore, managing dual-inventory pools (fresh groceries vs. hot restaurant meals) from multiple gourmet vendors created massive dispatching errors and inaccurate delivery ETA calculations.
